Your prescription now comes with further help and advice from your Pharmacist

High-street pharmacists including Boots joined forces with the NHS New Medicine Service in late 2011 to give patients advice on their prescribed medications. This initiative will offer people with conditions such as asthma, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and blood-clotting problems access to detailed information and support through their local pharmacist. This is especially helpful as patients sometimes find that they have further questions after their appointment. So the Pharmacists are in the best position to help and further answer those questions. All consultations are free and confidential so either ask your local pharmacy or simply visit: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/pharmacists/Pages/medicine-service-qa.aspx http://www.rpharms.com/nhs-community-pharmacy-contract-england/new-medicine-service.asp http://www.psnc.org.uk/pages/nms.html
